As husband and wife, we didn't have it all together. So together we chose to have it all, by building a life we love while learning to get fit.

We are Jess + Anthony. We’ve been together since we were teenagers, have 2 beautiful kids, and 2 very rambunctious dogs. Our journey to live a life that we love started by getting healthier.

​

Our journeys to get fit, started out a little differently but we both have the same end goal in mind. To be FIT FOR LIFE.

​

Anthony’s journey to fitness started August 4, 2019. After a health scare, he realized he needed to quit drinking alcohol. Soon after the weight loss followed, and the idea and inspiration to be healthier in other ways came to light. Not only did he dive headfirst into a new sober lifestyle, but he also joined me on my bandwagon of keto and low carb meals. Not to mention he was better at it than I was.

My journey to get fit started a long time ago. I was bullied in Middle School by several “friends”. I became so self-conscious that I began starving myself, which led to binge eating. Which started the cycle all over. I finally realized that what I wasn't changing, I obviously was choosing, and my toxic relationship with food was discovered. Binge eating as well as many other eating disorder symptoms are still a mental battle for me on really, really, bad days. However, I’ve been working really hard on living a healthier lifestyle since September 19, 2019. What can I say...I’m a work in progress.

Now of course, there are many other details of our lives that went into the “Why” of it all. But for now, those are the biggest reasons.

​

Anthony surpassed his goal weight (160) in November of last year and got down to 143 lbs. Which was too small for his height and activity level. He had to increase his calories and carbs, as the low carb "Diet" caused him to have cardiac issues. He is now up to 175 and is working on building muscle.

​

I surpassed my goal weight (150) and hit 137 in December of 2020. I have been maintaining since then in my "cushion" between 130-135, after contracting Viral Meningitis in July of 2021 and hitting my lowest of 129.

​

We have a strong love for food, cooking and have developed a love for working out. Most of what we cook is keto friendly, paleo and some meals are even Whole30 approved. We post most of our meals on TikTok and Instagram.

​

Side note: I don’t post nutritional values, as what I have in my home may not be what you have in yours. I currently use Carb Manager to track our Macros. I used to be terrible at measuring, however I think I measure or weigh EVERYTHING now!

​

I plan to continue posting videos of what we eat, and hopefully one day our workouts. We hope to share our journey with you, along with fitness tips, as well as expand our merchandise.

​

We are finally back to working on a cookbook to purchase, as well as updating our website and even adding in some free pintables. Our old website, meal prep guide, and starter kit were developed when we were at a different point in our journeys. We have learned so much since then and want to pass on the most accurate advice and information possible. As we aren't nutritionists, or doctors or fitness coaches. We simply pass on what we have learned through trial and error in hopes it helps someone else reach their goals.

We have found a new love for feeling healthier than we have in our entire adult lives! We truly are learning to get fit for life. 1 meal, 1 workout, 1 day, and 1 pound at a time!
