Chicken Burgers

These chicken burgers have less calories than beef, and are just as yummy!



Ingredients:


  • 2 tbsp olive oil

  • 1/4 cup finely minced onion

  • 2 tsp finely minced garlic

  • 1 lb. 94 percent fat-free ground chicken

  • 1/4 cup shredded low fat cheese

  • 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce

  • 1/2 tsp paprika

  • sprinkle of salt and pepper


Instructions:


  1. Preheat a cast iron skillet on medium to medium-high heat.

  2. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl, being careful not to overwork it.

  3. Form into 4 - 6 patties. Depending on desired thickness.

  4. Add the oil to the pan, and when it is hot, add the burgers.

  5. Cook for 4-6 minutes each side, or until done.

  6. Place on paper towels to help with any excess grease.

  7. Add burger toppings of choice. We like to use tomatoes, pickles, onions, and sometimes a fried egg white!

  8. Add your conidments! We use a special blend of light mayo, sugar free ketchup and mustard.

  9. Wrap in lettuce leaves for a nice healthy crunch, and way lower carbs and calories than traditional buns!
